Showcasing Innovation
"Irrational Assemblage" is a zine that captures the innovative and experimental work of architecture, engineering, and design students under the guidance of Mark Dineen and Amy Swift, who lead DetroitSHOP. Tasked with showcasing the students' crazy, insightful, and exciting projects from their early Masters classes, I was approached to compile and design this book after gaining recognition for my independent publishing work over the summer with Professor Lilian Crum.
The zine documents the students’ out-of-the-box thinking and progress through photographic records of their thesis projects. My role involved curating these visual elements and designing a soft-cover book that highlights their creativity with vibrant colors and engaging layouts. The final product is a testament to the students' hard work and ingenuity, complemented by my design and graphic touches. If you ever want to see a copy, just ask—it's an impressive showcase of collective creativity and design excellence.
