Humanizing Technology
As part of an Independent Publishing class at Lawrence Technological University, I embarked on a project that culminated in the creation of a zine titled "Circuitry." Fascinated by computers and the idea of personifying them, I crafted a narrative centered on a computer inspired by the iconic Macintosh Plus. This zine explores the imagined struggles of this computer as it faces issues with updating its software, weaving a story of technological entropy.
The zine features a series of glitch art photographs, created using various software tools to visually represent the computer's malfunctioning process. In addition to the zine, I developed a papercraft 3D model, poster, and handout cards, enhancing the immersive experience of the publication. These works were first introduced to the public at the Detroit Art Book Fair in the summer of 2014, under the "Extra Pulp" imprint, reflecting both my passion for technology and my creative storytelling abilities.
There are still some copies available at my shop! Printed on high qualitly French Paper and assembled all fully by my own hand.
