Revisiting Childhood Obsession

You know how most kids have something they fixate on? Space, dinosaurs, construction, dolls, I don’t know... Bluey? When I was young, we would travel to visit family and friends a lot, so lots of my time was spent as a backseat passenger, and my window to the world brought forth language in the form of glowy green exit signs.

I’ve still kept my fascination with how typography and color convey a quick read of instruction and direction. I think they are some of our most recognizable cultural staples, and they have a special place in my heart.

Drawn on Procrate, this is an homage to all of those signs I used to read, and... still read. And sometimes love.
